Ladder Assist Technician Jobs
— Work Nationwide with Patriot Claims

We hire ladder assist technicians nationwide. If you’re looking for roof inspection jobs, property inspector jobs, or ladder assist jobs that offer real flexibility and consistent work, Patriot Claims is hiring now.

What We Do

Patriot Claims is a Dallas-based inspection company that partners with insurance carriers and adjusters across the United States. Since 2014, we’ve built a nationwide network of trained field inspectors who provide the safe roof access, precise documentation, and unbiased reporting that carriers depend on to process claims efficiently.

When you join our team, you’re not just taking a job. You’re becoming part of a company with a clear mission: to make the claims process faster, safer, and with a servant mindset.

What You’ll Do as a Ladder Assist Technician

As a ladder assist technician with Patriot Claims, your job is to provide safe rooftop access and detailed documentation support for insurance adjusters in the field. Adjusters stay on the ground. You do the climbing, measuring, and photo documentation.

Your responsibilities include:

Visual representation of Patriot Claims core values that guide every team member and inspector in the field

Safely accessing residential and commercial roofs, including steep-slope, high-elevation, and multi-story structures.

Capturing detailed photos and precise measurements of roof conditions and damage.

Documenting findings accurately using the Patriot Claims proprietary inspection app.

Delivering clear, unbiased reports that support the adjuster’s claim evaluation.

Following OSHA safety standards on every inspection

No two days are the same. You might be working a routine inspection one day and responding to a storm event the next. That’s why we look for technicians who are reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field.

Pay and Compensation

Pay is per inspection, which gives you the flexibility to scale your income based on your availability and the demand in your market. Some technicians work part-time around other commitments. Others build a full schedule. The structure supports both.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need prior inspection experience to get started. If you’re dependable, comfortable working at heights, and willing to go through our training program, we’ll give you everything else you need.

Training and Certification

Every technician who joins Patriot Claims goes through our training program before heading into the field. You’ll learn our documentation standards, inspection protocols, and how to use our app so you’re ready to deliver the quality our carrier partners expect from day one.

HAAG certification is the industry standard for roof inspection knowledge, and we’ll support you in getting there if you don’t already have it.

Once you’re on the active roster, ongoing training is available to keep your skills current and your work consistent with our standards.

FAQ: Ladder Assist Technician Jobs

What does a ladder assist technician do?

A ladder assist technician provides safe rooftop access and documentation support for insurance adjusters during property inspections. You climb the roof, collect photos and measurements, and document your findings using our inspection app. The adjuster evaluates the claim from the ground using what you put together. You do not determine insurance coverage or claim outcomes.

How much do ladder assist technicians make?

Pay is per inspection, and your total earnings depend on your availability and the claim volume in your area. During the onboarding conversation, we’ll walk you through what technicians in your region are typically seeing.

Do I need experience to become a ladder assist technician?

No prior experience is required. We provide full training on our documentation standards, inspection process, and app. You do need to be comfortable working at heights, and you’ll need to get your HAAG certification within 90 days of joining or after completing 100 claims. We’ll point you toward the resources to make that happen.

Where are ladder assist jobs available?

We hire across all 50 states. How much work is available in your area depends on local carrier activity and claim volume, but our network is large enough that most technicians are able to find consistent work regardless of where they’re located.
